Alfred Hitchcock





Sir Alfred Hitchcock was an English born filmaker who was knows for his for his clever technqiues that involved suspense and very clever mind games

After a very succesful career in the United Kingdon Hitchcock moved to Hollywood and he became an American citizen but he keps his Britian Citzenship

Hitchcock has produced over 50 feauture films in his sixty - year career . But Hitchcocks carrer is still very up and running and he remains a very popular figure in the film industry ,


Style of Working

Hitchcock had a very intellgiant way of working . Hitchcock once commented, "The writer and I plan out the entire script down to the smallest detail, and when we're finished all that's left to do is to shoot the film. Actually, it's only when one enters the studio that one enters the area of compromise

Alfred Hitchcock had a certian way of storyboarding and producing his films . Hitchocks believed that every film should be very well thoguht out .

Hitchcocks storyboard were very fine detailed and very well thought out

Today we offically started writing the script for the film. To start we needed ideas on how to actually start the script so we looked at previous script to understand what is needed in a script . We noticed that more or less everything that happens on camera will be needed on a script

The stage directions , camera angle , camera movement , dialgogue , characters names and the actually storyline of the film are requied in the script .

Also today we counted that we have 15 questionaires overall and we are aiming to achive around 25 questionaires overall so we can understand what the audience are actually looking for in a thriller .

The questionaire results will help us in our production of a thriller because we can look at the results and see what people are looking for and adjust certain things to what they like

The Plot

The Plot

Nathan Di Canio is a family man who would do anything for his wife and kids. But when a drug deal goes wrong Nathan owes the wrong people a lot of money , it is left down to his wife Sienna to save the day .

When the gangsters turn up at their house thinking that it would be just another person to kill . However they dont know that Sienna was an ex-sas soldier who knew how to defend herself and their plans suddenly change .

Nathan had been beaten to a pulp and tied up in a warehouse by the mafia . He owes them a lot of money . As payback the mafia go round to his house to kill his wife and kids . However when they try to kill her she fights back and manages to escape

When we started

When we started creating our film we first needed to create a plot for the film . We came up with a very good plot that involved a revenge plot which includes the mafia . After we have fully thought out the plot we started on the storyboard which Cemal assisted with . The storyboard took us around 5 lessons to complete overall .

While we were working on the storyboard we mad up a cast list and starting asking people to participate in our film . We needed 9 people to be involed in the acting and in the matter of 5 lessons we got 9 people to be in the film .

Preliminary Task

My group consists of 3 members who are Alex , Cemal and myself . To start us off before we actually started the real media project we had to create a Preliminary Task . We watched the video in class and copy the exact the camera angles and the same storyline of that video .

While we were watching the video we all made notes on the camera angles that the video had used for each clip so we could mimic it in our video .

We started of by gathering all of the equipment such as the Camera , tripod and the Cameras Tape to record onto . When we had prepared all the shots that we needed we went to the libary to film the video . We first filmed Myself and Cemal sitting around the table and Cemal would ask me if I had a creating magazine and I would give it to cemal .

After that scene we filmed cemal walking to the library and him opening the door of the library from the inside . We also took quite shots of the reaction shots of myself while Cemal opened the Library door

After we had finished filming we needed to start on the editing of the video.
